Charities & Sponsorship

Prosceneium assist in many Charities, both on a one off and continual basis.

These include:

KIDS PRAISE THEATRE WORKSHOP – This is a group based in Middleton, Greater Manchester, which is committed to providing a chance for under privileged children to take part in theatrical productions, which they otherwise would not have the opportunity to do. We have provided full stage sets for their Annual production since 2004. This year’s production is ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Kingdom’. Previous productions have included ‘A Ladd in a Mess’, and ‘The Lion meets the King’.

ROCHDALE INFIRMARY PLAYERS (R.I.P) – This is a pantomime group whose members are all Doctors and Nurses from Rochdale Infirmary. Every January we provide a full stage set for their annual pantomime. All proceeds from the pantomime are put back into services at the Infirmary. In the past these have included contributions to cardio-respiratory services, MedEquip4kids, Services in the Community, the Children’s Community Team, the Accident and Emergency Department, and the provision of overnight rooms for the parents of children with a terminal illness. The January 2010 production is ‘Cinderella’.

MOORLAND CHILDREN’S HOME – This is a farmhouse situated on the moors above Rochdale, who provide an opportunity for children from under privileged backgrounds to have a holiday at a rural retreat.

CHILD VICTIM’S SUPPORT – An organisation that supports local children in the Rochdale area.

WILLOW WOOD HOSPICE – An organisation that provides respite care for the terminally ill.

SPRINGHILL HOSPICE – A local hospice providing respite care for the terminally ill.

MACMILLAN CANCER RELIEF – An organisation committed to providing relief for both sufferers and families of those suffering from cancer.

THE CHILDREN’S ADVENTURE FARM TRUST – An organisation that provides breaks and activities for terminally ill, disadvantaged and disabled children.

MENINGITIES RESEARCH FOUNDATION – An organisation committed to providing relief for both sufferers and families of those suffering from meningitis.

ANIMALS IN DISTRESS – An organisation committed to eliminating cruelty to animals.

Prosceneium also support many groups through sponsorship.

WHITWORTH SPARTAN’S RUGBY TEAM – We are patrons of this team, and provide an annual donation to contribute to the financial running of the team. Our logo is displayed on the team’s shirts.

WHITWORTH MOTORCROSS CLUB – We provide an annual donation to the club for operation and protective clothing costs. Our logo is displayed on the team’s protective shirts.

LITTLEBOROUGH JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB – We provide a stage setting and financial contributions for the Annual Race night, which provides funds towards the continuing running costs of the club and replacing equipment.
