DESCRIPTION
Based On The Designs of Disley Jones
Prosceneium’s set for The Mikado is a slightly scaled down version of the design which Disley Jones executed for the D’oly Carte Company in the early 1960’s in Anthony Besch’s production, which was subsequently filmed.
The false proscenium is made up of three sets of soft legs and two soft borders. The front proscenium utilises additional 12’ high translucent hard legs these sit in front of the soft legs.
As in the original design the flats in the S.L. Act One house are translucent to match the front false proscenium legs.
The backcloths are approximately 36’ x 17’-6”.
The floor cloth provided is approximately 30’ wide x 36’ deep.
