Most of the scene changes during SOME LIKE IT HOT run as easily as front cloth – full set – front cloth.
The set pieces make use of 2 trucks 7’6 x 5’. These hold the bunks for the train scene and are open on the other side to represent the garage scene. Both trucks are re-dressed during the interval as the New Caledonian Yatch – when not in use both of these trucks will live behind the rearmost cloth if wingspace is limited.
The two bandstand scenes have cut-cloth false prosceniums and we also supply a set of music stands and a banner “The Society Syncopaters”
The props for the garage scene include a couple if ½ cars, petrol pump, card table, 5 stools & oil drums.
The beds, bedding and mattresses are provided for both the train and the hotel bedroom – curtains are also provided for the train.
The yatch is pre-dressed with stuffed fish, books, trophy and a drinks table between the seats.
The show has been designed to run smoothly although an important truck refit is necessary during the interval.
